BBQ Ribs in Cambridge Area - Delivered

Salt and Pepper May 26, 2007 07:56 AM

Any recommendations for ordering American-style BBQ ribs for delivery to the mid-Cambridge area? I am especially interested in places that would deliver just the ribs, and don't make you buy a meal with side orders that includes rice, beans, fries, etc. Most of the restaurants listed by the delivery services (Dining In, Foodler, Mix Menu, Delivery.com) show restaurants that sell dinner plates that include various side orders. Also interested in Chinese-style rib recommendations, but those are always available a la carte. Thanks!

REDBONES, REDBONES, REBONES and, oh BTW did I say, Redbones?

P.S. You're obviously a newbie, this posting more properly belongs on the Boston board :-))

I love Redbones, too, but I think Blue Ribbon is equally as great, if not a wee bit better. =)

Hey dukegirl, how you been? I like Blue Ribbon's 'que also but they require a minimum of $150 orders to makes deliveries, as I recall. That's why I didn't mention it.

BTW, I was at The Man of Kent in Hoosac, N.Y. this weekend. John Stoate is expecting to pass papers with people from Kevin at Mike's Place somewhere around the 1st of July. He's agreed to stay on weekdays indefinetly. I hope so, but we'll see.

Redbones also happens to deliver by BICYCLE - when I find endearing (not to mention environmentally responsible) ... um ... what was that about using a bike to deliver large portions of MEAT? Never mind :-)

LOL! Visual image of a rib-packing bicyclist being chased down Mass ave by a pack of salivating dogs!

They deliver instantaneously. When I call in my order they always say "half hour to 45 minutes" and then 15 minutes after I hang up the phone I have ribs and those fabulous buffalo shrimp at my doorstep.

                Must be the bicycle thing.

Just home from Vt....LOL Salt and Pepper "newbie",
When somebody, myself or any other Hound, goes to the bother of supplying you with a direct link for take-out AND deliveries, it's considered poor form to pose that question before actually looking at said same link. Again. LOL (this time)

I used to live on the same street as Redbones when I lived in Boston and I have to agree. Their food is fabulous and I look forward to getting a fix when I'm back there this summer.

                  Hi stolenchange,

They've still got a great rotation of beer & ales to go with all that great 'Que.

                  All best, Harp00n
