Race Day breakfast w/ views in Santa Monica

I am an Indianapolis transplant and will be in Santa Monica this weekend. It's tradition to watch the Indy 500 no matter where I am at. So here is hoping someone can offer up a good suggestion.

Race starts at 10 am PST Sunday. Want to watch the race, enjoy a huge omelet (or any good breakfast actually) and have a good bloody mary all while overlooking the ocean.

Some places may not be open that early on Sunday. I read some earlier threads that said there are not a lot of places with ocean views, so I welcome all suggestions.

Maybe just head to Barney's Beanery on the Promenade, stomach the subpar food, get hammered, and watch the race

What about that German/Swiss place on Venice Beach? Can't remember the name of it, but they definitely have TVs and an ocean view. I just don't know if they're open at that hour.

Get room service at Shutters or the Viceroy.

Omelette Parlour on Main is great for breakfast.

A bit of a conflict as most of the places with a view of the ocean let the view be the star of the show (even over the food in a lot of instances) and don't have t.v.'s to compete with it. You might check with Loews Beach hotel in Santa Monica and see what they say.

How about BACK TO THE BEACH, right on the beach, on PCH near the California Incline?

No t.v. at B ot B, just like Geoffrey's and the Penthouse. Hmm, what about Gladstone's I wonder? Don't recall if they have a t.v. in the bar or not. Maybe the OP could check with them too.

Also maybe Le Merigot hotel next door to Loews.
