Dining outdoors tonight - 5/25

MSJ May 25, 2007 08:40 AM

Looking for a good spot to grab a bite tonight - outdoor seating is a must. Location - Arlington, Medford, Somerville, or Cambridge. No menu requirements beyond the ability to get a glass of wine! Any thoughts?

I noticed a lot of people enjoying the outdoor seating in front of West Side Grill on Mass Ave between Harvard and Porter. The food can be hit or miss but I did spy a lovely looking frisee and goat cheese salad. (I'm nosy walking by!) Oleana is lovely but WSG might be a good plan B.

Signing off for the weekend -- yay! Have a great long weekend everyone.

I'm trying to picture outdoor seating here, seems like there's not enough room.

Agree. Dante is a nice suggestion with that lovely patio overlooking the Charles. Four of us recently had another great dinner there a couple of weeks ago. Highlights for me on the menu were the kingfish carpaccio appetizer, and the vanilla parsnip pillows with roasted lobster tail. BTW, EK at the bar makes a nice Negroni.

This is a thread from earlier in the month that should give you a few dozen great choices:

I'll reiterate how much I enjoy the patio at Atasca near Kendall Square for very good Portuguese food, as well as a nice Iberian wine list and/or some pretty well-crafted sangria.
