Help! Need butcher in Nassau OR Westchester County

So i went to Stew Leonards in Yonkers after work last night to pick up all the ingredients need to cook over the holiday weekend. One of the the meals will be a slow roasted pork shoulder, from this recipe:

Guess what the only thing I could not get from Stew's was? A 3 1/2 pound pork shoulder, boned and tied.

Now that I have invested in the fresh herbs, the wine and the ruby port, I really want to make this meal! I work in Nassau County, LI and I live on the border of Westchester/Fairfield Counties.

I am looking for a butcher that I can order the pork from to pick up today or tomorrow.

    I'm sorry this is only going to be partly helpful, but on Arthur Ave. in the Belmont section of the Bronx (which is very close to the Fordham Road exit of the Bronx River Pkwy) is Biancardi's - an excellent full service butcher. If you want to give them a try, they're at (718) 733-4058

      You could try Greenwich Prime Meats on Davis Ave in G-wich. These are a couple of the butchers from Manero's.
      I don't have a phone number but you could surely call information and check if they have the shoulder ahead of time.

        Just tried Greenwich Prime Meats - they don't have any pork shoulder...thanks for the reccomendation though.

          Hi Sarah,

          Tough to find a good butcher around here. Best bet is Balducci's, there's one in Scarsdale, Pound Ridge, Old Greenwich, Westport. Call them before you go. You can also try Meateria in Larchmont. They are supposed to be a butcher cum gourmet shop, but I don't think they are great. They should be okay for pork shoulder.

              I would not go up to greenwich - THE best is biancardi and if you went to yonkers getting to arthur avenue is easy. See Sal he is the owners son and a great guy!!! They have everything!!!!

            For future references, What about Porcellis Food Mart in old greenwich and cos cob?

        The Pork Store in Port Chester on Willett Ave. should have what you need. I have only gotten their brats when I was there and they were delish.

          I called The Pork Store in PC and they told me they don't carry fresh meat. I plan to try there for sausages sometime soon though.

            Too late for this weekend, but in the future I'd suggest Crisfield's Market off Purchase Street in Rye, 914-947-0152. They're a full-service butcher and have excellent meats.

              I did end up going to Crisfields and the dish turned out great. I think I paid around $17 for a 3 1/2 pound pork shoulder. Not sure if that is a lot, since I don't use butchers that often.

              Thanks everyone for all suggestions. Sounds like I am going to have to make a trip to Arthur Ave one of these days.

                Good butcher, very accomodating- Prime Time Butcher in Woodbury Long Island. A little pricey but good quality

          Don't know where in LI you work, but Ceriello's in Wantagh is super accommodating, and I often go there for pork - they make excellent bracciole, and will grind up pork chops for you - so they have the extra fat in them. I would definitely recommend then, although they are not a straight up butcher.

            Pelligrini's on Covert Ave. in Stewart Manor has excellent meat.
