There's a very good liquor store in Pasadena, on the NW corner of Allen & Washington, that always has competitive prices on wine (very impressive selection) and liquor. I think it's called Mission Wines & Liquor (not to be confused with the similarly-named Mission Wines in South Pas).

I went there around the holidays to get my dad some tequila. Impressive selection, helpful staff, and several bucks cheaper than BevMo for what I got (Corralejo).
