        <content>I can't find real grenadine in the area. Roses is all corn syrup and ickiness. any suggestions?</content>

      <content>The best I've found in NY is Kassatly Chtaura from Lebanon.  Made with sugar, not corn syrup and has "natural and artificial grenadine flavors" (whatever that means, no specific mention of Pomegranate juice).  Also has artificial coloring and sodium benzoate, but one uses so little of the stuff that I think it's worth the risk.

It's available at Sahadi's on Atlantic Ave. in Brooklyn for less than 4 bucks for 600 ml so you can't go wrong even if you throw it out.</content>
