Silverlake/Los Feliz Update?

Hey people -

Lots of stuff appears to be in the works. Would love any information on these:

EX - FLOR MORENA SPACE - I drive by here a couple of times a day and there seems to be some movement. Anyone know what this will be?

RESERVOIR/EX-NETTY'S - Had heard that this was opening in the winter, but it still looks a ways off. Anyone? Bueller?

THE SPACE ACROSS FROM MICHELANGELO (on SL Blvd.) - The guys at Michelangelo said that someone was combining all of the storefronts to create one really big restaurant space. Do you know more?

LITTLE DOM'S - Supposed to open one of these days on Hillhurst. Tell me something!

EL CHAVO - Word on the street was that they were going to make the food better. That definitely was not the case 3 months back...

PINKBERRY - This appears to be opening soon. Wish I could short their stock.

Not to get nostalgic, but what ever happened to the idea that Pete of Thai American Express Cafe might return to burger making?

Haven't heard a peep about that idea, although my kids would be happy. I have the perfect location for him, that cute house on Virgil near Cha Cha Cha where another Thai restaurant recently failed.

In addition to these, I am curious about the place across the street from the Tam O' Shanter? Used to be a kind of dance/supper club place... can't remember the name!

Do you mean La Strada? What are you curious about, are they doing something to it?

Formerly La Strada, now called The Griffen, or at least since early 2006.
Not sure what it is or supposed to be, however.

A deal has been made with the former Flor Morena, yet it will take a decent period of time before things can get too far along as the new tenant wants to sell beer and wine, which Morena never did. A conditional use permit used to exist, but whether or not it has expired, etc. - still to be determined.

Thanks. I thought I remembered reading something about a relatively hip chef opening something there. At least now we have a name, The Griffen.

They have been working on it for almost a year but the progress seems a bit more intense lately.

They have been open in Los Feliz for several months, at 1726 N. Vermont, north of Prospect, in the same block as the vermont restaurant. Their website doesn't list any other locations in the SL/LF area.

I believe the original poster was talking about the Pinkberry that is going in in Silverlake -- in the mini-mall where Catt's & Dogg's is at the corner of Hyperion and Rowena. Per Chowpatty's link, it's opening this summer. (As IF that particular intersection needed more congestion/parking issues!)

Reservoir, as you can see, has quite a ways to go.
Pinkberry has the chairs and tables and is hiring, so opening soon.
El Chavo hasn't changed the menu yet.
