Grilled Pineapple at Carl's Jr.

  • 7

They are launching a new teriyaki burger w/grilled pineapple. This article is interesting, in that the CEO of the parent company says that he has no plans to introduce more salads and healthier items, because Carl's Jr. and Hardees customers don't actually want them. "And [surveys] show that while consumers say they want to eat healthier, what they actually want is a big juicy burger."

  1. Wow -- I've been putting grilled pineapple (and barbecue sauce) on my cheeseburgers at home for years. Who'd have figured me for a member of the culinary avant-garde.

As I recall (never had one) the Twitty Burger had a slice of pineapple on it.

saw the commercial for it yesterday night. doesn't look like anything special, but i'll probably try it...

    2. I actually had one today without knowing they were available. Not bad, too much teriyaki sauce (if it doesn't get all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face) and the pineapple was a nice touch.

Don't forget Island's has the Hawaiian which is a burger with grilled pineapple and teriyaki sauce...

I'd rather spend like $5-6 at Carl's rather than $12+ for the same meal at Islands.

I love Hawaiian burgers..my addiction.....moreso, I love the one at Islands.. love it....also, can't beat having that big plate of cheddar fries with ranch there!!!!!

..i'll have to try the one at Carl's Jr. though.....even though I hate fast food. on the commercial, the lettuce looks like its too much though...oh well...hopefully its good!

I'd really like to see Carl's come up with a grilled pineapple, fried egg, bacon and onion ring burger.

            That would be something.
