I've been having a craving for a nice moist piece of zucchini bread. Does anyone know where I can get a good piece in the LA area?
The Green Street Restaurant in Pasadena has delicious zucchini bread. It's often served along with a lunch or dinner entree or you can buy an entire loaf there.
LOL! That was what I was going to suggest. Believe it or not, the zucchini bread was the first thing in California my SIL would acknowlege was good at all and she said it was "to die for." Maybe she'll learn to travel after all.
Not much else that's good at Coogie's, but their zucchini bread is great!
What is Coogie's? and where?
It's at Santa Monica and 29th in Santa Monica.
Thanks. How about any bakeries where you can just pick up a piece?
Trader Joes makes a decent one for an easy fix ... Katella Deli in Los Alamitos is also good ... though a bit of a drive if your in the LA area.
Kings Road makes good muffins. Yum. They warm them up (I hope not nuked) and you spread a little (er, a lot) of butter on them! Oy.
They sell it at Shaker's on Fair Oaks in Pasadena. I tried it, and I didn't like it much. There are loaves for sale near the cash register.
