Sophy's Cafe - Lawrence, MA
Sophy's Cafe is at the end of Canal Street in Lawrence across from Lawton's Hot Dogs. Nice little cafe with some very creative sandwiches, and meals at very reasonable prices.
I had a pan seared swordfish which was on special today for $7.95 which was excellent.
This was my first time here, and I'll work on the menu over the summer.
If anyone has been, what are some of the popular sandwiches to order?

Had lunch here again today. Lobster Roll Special with FF (average) and homemade coleslaw (excellent) for $8.95. It wasn't a huge lobster roll but it was plenty for me for lunch, and I've paid more for less elsewhere.
Friend had the Fish Sandwich with FF $5.95. He said it was fair. It looked like it might have been frozen fish fillet.
They are NOT open for dinner and they close at 5pm.
You can sit inside. It's a bit subdued in there. Sub shop type setting.
Menu has a lot of salads, including blacken chicken, salmon, or shrimp ceasar salads which looked good.Soup & Sandwiches (Wraps are $4.25 w/ff $5.25 and other sandwiches are around $5.50 includes FF) Burgers $5 to $6 includes FF.
Chicken dishes like Marsala, Kabobs, Swamma, Stirfry, Teriyaki $6.95.
Pasta dishes $7.95 to $12.95 ranging from Chicken Broccoli Alfredo to Seafood Fra diavlo w/ shrimp, scallop, & lobster.
Seafood casserole w/ shrimp, scallop, & lobster in a cream sauce toped with ritz was $10.95.
I usually do take out but ate there today. Not much atmosphere in there and will continue with takeout in the future. The food is good, and an excellent value for lunch.
