deleting your profile?

Is there a way to delete your profile?

          You can email us at moderators@chowhound.com, and we can deactivate your account for you. This won't remove your posts, only prevent you from being able to log in.

          The Site designers have no way for a user to delete their OWN profile??? That's not very good customer relations................... try editing your profile using blanks or random information -- reminds me of cheesy dating sites, once they get a user in the databanks they are captured there forever,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Signed, New User with blank profile >:D
