  1. Ariake is across the street from Hunters Woods Shopping Plaza. The cashew shrimp tempura and spilcy scallop rolls are amazing.

    1. I can't say it's excellent, but a decent place to go is Matsuri on Elden, just off of 7100. I've only been there for lunch, which is a sushi buffet.

      1. Haven't been myself but heard Passionfish is good.

        1. And there's a place at Worldgate in Herndon. I haven't been in a few years but it used to be above average (though maybe not stellar).

          1. Try Ariake across the street from Hunters Woods Plaza on Colts Neck. No buffet, but their food is solid and fresh.

I like Ariake, too. Very fresh, wonderful fish. Great service and a beautiful space. It's the best I've tried but I haven't been to Passionfish yet.

If the sushi is as good as the rest of the food, it will be excellent. I did have the hamachi crudo appetizer, which was superb.

I've only heard good things but haven't been and it's walking distance from my house. Need to change that.

Three Thai Sushi over in Herndon (K-Mart shopping center) does a pretty good job at both.

            2. Aoba in Sterling, VA off 7 in the Regency shopping center makes the best sushi that I have found in the Sterling, Ashburn, Herndon, Reston, Fairfax area, and I make it a habit to try new sushi places.

You should try their special rolls such as the Las Vegas Roll or the Godzilla roll. They are a step above all the rest in the area.

As was already mentioned, Passionfish has the best in Reston. Chris does a great job there.
