Sustainable restaurant on the Westside

Bjartmarr May 21, 2007 11:43 AM

Hi folks,

My brother is visiting from the Bay Area, and he wants to find a restaurant that serves sustainable food down here. Does anybody know of such a place on the Westside?

Bonus points if it's tasty. Extra bonus points if it's Indian.

Every Wednesday Josie Restaurant does a prix fixe menu featuring the best of what she found that morning at the Santa Monica Farmer's Market.

Doesn't he get enough of that stuff up there? Doesn't he want something more representative of L.A., like some tacos? Just joking.
Don't know if Grace qualifies as Westside, but Neal Fraser just started a 5-course "Close to Home" menu on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays for $70 per person.

similar recent inquiry - some locations on Westside, (sorry no Indian but I think we've all scored points so far for tasty).

The Getty Center contracts with a food service company that is concerned with sustainable food issues. Unfortunately, I can't recall the name of the company, but I visited their website and was impressed with what they're doing. Bonus points - you get to visit the Getty.
