Review of Providence in LA magazine [Moved from LA Board]

I was reading through my new issue of LA magazine and came across an article on providence. One that started out great talking about how much the reviewer like the chef and his creativity and then went on to bash that creativity as going to far and needing to be reigned in. Did anyone lese read that article and what are your thoughts?

LA magazine can be like that. I find the creativity refreshing, but the dining scene is getting a little tired of foams and such.

I figure some things were just beyond the reviewer.
