DFW: Best pre-marinated fajita meat?

nitlsu May 20, 2007 12:09 PM

One place I know that's got great meat is La Michoacana. Are there any other recommendations, preferably in the Plano/Carrollton/Lewisville area?

You know, I like the central market version, but I'm almost positive that they add soy sauce to the maridade which makes it taste more asian than Mexican. I grill it and add Asian touches and it's great.

I spoke with one of the meat guys at the Plano CM and they told me they rotate between a few different marinades and the one they were currently using (at the time we talked) was http://www.jardinefoods.com/store_pro.... I picked up a bottle and sure enough, it was the same taste.

The carneceria with the huge mexican flag on thier sign. They are located on Web Chapel, almost to Northwest Highway. They have pollo marinado and bistec marinado. I prefer the chicken. Make sure you get the maiz en todo from the lady selling it out front (if she is there).
