Churros near Ferry Building

About a month ago I bought two warm, chewy churros from a very nice woman who'd set up a cart north of the Ferry Building, near a striped monolith and a parking lot. I liked the churros a great deal. I was hoping to eat them every time I went to farmers market on Saturday. On my next visit I looked for her but the weather was crappy and she wasn't there. As far as I know she has not returned since. Replying to my inquiry, the unpleasant woman at the farmers market information booth said, "She wasn't supposed to be there." Not a chowhound's reply. Can anyone tell me more about the Ferry Building churros woman and her fate?

    1. I don't know about a month ago, but on May 5th (Cinco de Mayo), I saw churro vendors set up around the Ferry Building. I assumed that they were there because it was Cinco de Mayo as I have not seen them before or since.

Can you tell me roughly where and at what time you saw her? At nine a.m she was not where I'd previously bought from her.

She was also not north of the ferry building at 8:30 where I had previously bought from her.

I didn't get there until 11am and she was in her usual spot by the valet parking.

          2. I saw her last weekend, too.

            1. there's churro vendors there every week...over by Pancho Villa and continuing away from the Ferry Building.

OP was lucky to get a warm, freshly made one. If they are even a couple hours old, they are not good at all, especially the really thick ones under a large blanket of foil I see all over town.
