  1. Replying to myself, haven't tried it, but did stop by to look at a menu and talk to the owner when I was in the neighborhood yesterday. Only two Bengali dishes, per the owner, both involving hilsa. Other than that, it serves up the standard tandoori meats and moghlai dishes, which the owner said the Bengali customers enjoy. I will say that the well-charred and fluffy naan looked great and the place does smell good, so I hope some will try it and let us know.

I'll try it soon, though I have no idea what Bengali dishes taste like. What I found out from a Yelper:

      to try:
      shrimp tanddori
hilsa polao (hilsa is the national fish of Bangladesh)
      hilsa curry
      chicken tandoori
      lamb chop

From a call I made, in the same shopping center as Jiro (Japanese restaurant).

      Closed Tues
      Open: M, W-Sun 11:30-2:30pm; Dinner 6-9:30p (sometimes 10p)

    2. We went here for dinner to try some Bangladeshi food, but it wasn't meant to be. We were the first 2 ppl at the restaurant at 6:15pm, the place has A/C and your clothes will smell of tandoori.

They didn't have Hilsa (national fish of Bangladesh) curry, the one dish i wanted to try. Another fish dish they have is Roho, but it's deep fried and I try to avoid it.

The chicken biryani is only served on Fri. $7.99, but the cooks forgot to make it for us, so we didn't get to try it!

free salad - not much here, some cucumber, tomatoes, onions, lime & jalapeno peppers. Two sauces given w/ meal, raita brought out, and water pitcher given.

      We tried:
Shrimp tandoori $10.99-King size shrimps marinated in herbs & spices, cooked in a clay oven, served w/ regular naan. It was pretty tasty and u can tell them the spice level u want.

Goat karahi $8.99-goat meat cooked w/ Indian spices. It was pretty tasty.

Bengen Bhartha $6.99-eggplant cooked w/ slender bits of onions & tomatoes, made rich w/ exotic oriental spices. It was tasty, hubby thought had to much ghee.

Order of garlic naan $4?? - it was 2 large round pieces that we ate w/ the meal, we finished only 1.

FREE Chai at the front counter. You can add sugar to sweeten it up.

One unisex bathroom available. Credit cards taken. $38 was our total w/ tip & tax.
