Street Carts Near Yale?
I was on a radio show today where a caller-in said there was usually an amazing variety of great street carts near the green (the yard?) at Yale. Can anyone pin down the wheres and whens a bit more, and confirm that this is good stuff?

Though undoubtedly the caller was referring to the Med school cart city, it's worth mentioning that there are always a few carts by SOM as well. Corner of Sachem and Prospect. Not as wide a variety as the Med school ones, but closer, for those of us who work that way.
It's also worth pointing out that one of the carts that had a great rep now has a jernt open in Hamden, up Dixwell from New Haven. Pho Hy Cali (give or take a few diacritical marks) is really nice Vietnamese, IMO. -- http://www.chowhound.com/topics/334265
And no, ain't nothing around the Green except for hot dogs.

Roomba has a cart that is usually on York St across from Au Bon Pain. Burritos about $5.00. There's always a line.

re: ElizabethHenton
On any given weekday afternoon, between about 11:00am until 2:00pm, there are no fewer than 20 carts, providing cheap food from local restaurants. Beyond the above mentioned, you can also find: lots of Chinese (of note is the in/famous "No Oily, No Greasy" cart), lots of Thai, Mexican, Indian, Korean, quasi-Italian, sushi, Vietnamese, and a spattering of others that come and go (I recently saw a car from Cafe Goodfellas). It can be an overwhelming sight upon your first visit.

Usually the most are on York St. at Yale New Haven Hospital, daily during the lunch hour. 11am -2pm. I've seen a few around the Green, mostly hot dogs, ect.
