Hide Sushi

Boy, has this place gone downhill. One of my favorites here was the yellowtail collar, but the one the other last night was flavorless. The yellowtail and salmon sashimi were middling quality at best, though we liked the tempura. Prices are low, but the wait is cattle-like. Too many decent sushi places to have to wait like this for mediocre food. I was really disappointed after telling my wife this was one of the bargains in Los Angeles. Too bad.

But as my dad always says about relationships, "watch the feet" -- I haven't gone all year. As you say there are too many other really good choices in town...

The problem is the feet- too many of them standing in line for pretty good reasonably priced sushi. However, I dont feel like its worth waiting for an hour, and I can't find any decent bars nearby for appetizing cocktail while I wait.

Average sushi is basically terrible--it's like eating soggy lettuce. It's bad at any price. Definitely won't be back there for a while.
