Good Breakfast Recommendations in Downtown Edmonton
I haven't a clue what is out there for good breakfast options in downtown Edmonton on weekdays. Can anyone help? Ideally it's within walking distance (though I'm an ambitious walker) of say Jasper and 97th street.
(PS: I've had some great meals in the Okanagan recently on my visit there. I'll try to post some reviews in the next few days if anyone is interested.)
I would say Blue Plate, but they're not open until 11 on weekdays. For sitdown meals, you're probably best off eating at one of the hotels. The Silk Hat is a greasy spoon that has all day breakfasts, but I don't know what time they open.
Maybe Sunterra, inside Commerce Place, if you're looking for pastries/breads. They are serving a few hot foods too, but it's all precooked egg wraps and sandwiches that are reheated. The numerous Second Cups all have decent muffins from a local bakery. And there's Starbucks on Jasper and 101 st.
