Thai Nakorn closed for renovations--where to go?

After researching and reading so much about this restaurant I was heartbroken to drive by last night and see it is closed. What is the next best choice? We drove towards Long Beach and had good Vietnamese at Bentley. But would love some fabulous thai

Were you at their new location (since the fire in Norwalk) in Stanton when you drove by?

    Thai Nakorn
    11951 Beach Blvd.
    Stanton, CA 90680

The fire was in their Garden Grove location.
Your Norwalk reference is the now temporarily-closed Renu Nakorn, which is part of a shopping center being remodeled.
Hope Thai Nakorn is open on Sunday, because most posters here on the board feel it is the best in the OC and I have plans to get there to try it out.

At least I got half of it right (and seeing as how I am normally half assed it has its own logic I suppose). Thanks for setting the record straight.

Service is only marginally better, but pad thai/sticky rice and mango are still glorious

Yes, Thai Nakorn is open. The location is at Beach and Chapman in Stanton. I didn't have any service issues at all. The Garden Grove Blvd. location is supposed to open in autumn.

I don't know when Renu Nakorn (a non-related restaurant in Norwalk) is supposed to re-open, or if it is at all.
