Sidewalk Juice [San Francisco]

Today I was hungry between appointments with very little time and decided to check out Sidewalk Juice, on 21st Street just below Valencia. They offer a number of fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies, as well as organic, shade-grown coffee.
I'm not a huge smoothie fan, finding most of them way too sweet, but I decided to try the almond delight, a concoction of almond milk, almond butter, banana and vanilla frozen yogurt (I asked them to hold the almond extract). Oh my goodness, this was good. It was thick like a good shake with a very nice almond flavor, not overly sweet and very satisfying. There were lots of other interesting options, but I'll have a hard time trying anything else, I think I'm hooked.
The two guys at the counter said they'd been there eight months and it's been slow going. Well of course it has, no one knows they're there! Or at least there's nothing in the archives here. If you're in the neighborhood and you can tear yourself away from Ritual, give their juices and smoothies a try.
thanks for the tip. sounds like they can use some business and I'll be happy to try that almond smoothie--yum.

Wow! I've been making banana-almond smoothies for years. I can't believe somebody actually finally caught on.
Stopped by this afternoon for the first time and tried the lemon apple ginger Kombucha, $5.25 for 12 oz. made with all fresh and organic produce. Lemon and ginger both very intense, yet knit together and tempered by the apple that also provided pulpy thickener. Enjoyed it very much.
