Corn meal in the freezer?

Can anyone tell me if i can keep cornmeal in the freezer?, how about rice,and oatmeal?,these are things that rarely use,and i hate to have the unused portions go bad(bugs,worms etc.)

Sure you can. Seal them well so they don't pick up other food odors. I wish i had the room in mine.

My understanding is that if you freeze it 24 hours it kills any potential vermin. I do that wih any grain, etc. I bring home and then put it in the cabinet. In a glass jar if Ican.

I keep my corn meal, and many of my less frequently used flours and brans, in my freezer.
