I just happened to walk by this small place the other day. I'm not sure how I've been missing it as I walk around the neighborhood often for Naan n Curry, Thai, and of course Koo.

How is this place? Any recommendations?

it's actually quite authentic. they have several types of grilled mackerel, rice balls (grilled upon request), special pork dishes, and hardcore stuff like the mash left over after crushing soybeans (i think. okara?). japanese staff and proprietor.

some nice sakes, and endless japanese food porn videos (japanese tv shows of people going to mountain villages to soak in hot tubs and eat various jewel-like delicacies. complete with foodgasm close ups of the happy diner's face.)

open late, naturally
