In Sacto for Pacific Rim Festival...

NoCAFoodie May 16, 2007 10:27 PM

and we need a nice place for dinner on Saturday. We like a lot of different cuisines and don't necessarily favor one over another. In view of Sunday's fare...perhaps nothing of Asian nature. Italian? Sushi? Californian? We're open. I don't want to spend 3 arms and 2 legs, but I want to have a tasty dinner with decent service. We'll be in the Old Sacto area....haven't ever eaten at the Pilot House or Firehouse, but many other places in Old Town (Fats, Fultons, and other places). Any recs Sacto chowhounds? TIA!

Can't offer any recs, but I'm arriving Sunday for a week and would like any info you can give me on the Pacific Rim Festival. I'm staying in the Arden Way area and won't have a vehicle. Any small ethnic joints to try? Thanks

Near Arden area is a place called Sampan...get the daisy beef. It's pretty good, though I haven't been in a while.

If you arrive early enough in the day, the Light Rail will be routing into Old Town for the festival. Having no car isn't a problem!
