I saw this question on the Boston board. Where is your favorite bread basket in the Bay Area?
Press in St. Helena. Olive bread, sourdough, flatbreads and others. It was quite an assortment. We took a bunch home!
TWO (formerly Hawthorne Lane)
Those rolls are great.
Definitely Town's End!
I may be wrong, but my interpretation of a "bread basket" is one containing a variety of breads, not just one or even two.
Quince's "bread basket" has a variety of tasty breads. I highlighted my favorite. What about Town's End's bread basket did you find "nice"?
I particularly liked the assortment of freshly made breads and the fact that it is complimentary with all breakfasts. Yum!
It's been so long since I went to Town's End that I don't recall the particulars, but, like chemchef, it was the variety and freshness that I liked (they are baked in-house).
Quince. I had an amazing fennel roll with sea salt.
Delfina, because they serve Tartine bread there.
I recall Town's End, I believe it was, having a nice bread basket.
delfina! they serve two breads - once from tartine and one from acme and they're wonderful...
