I saw this question on the Boston board. Where is your favorite bread basket in the Bay Area?

  1. I recall Town's End, I believe it was, having a nice bread basket.

delfina! they serve two breads - once from tartine and one from acme and they're wonderful...

    2. Delfina, because they serve Tartine bread there.

      1. Quince. I had an amazing fennel roll with sea salt.

        1. I may be wrong, but my interpretation of a "bread basket" is one containing a variety of breads, not just one or even two.

Quince's "bread basket" has a variety of tasty breads. I highlighted my favorite. What about Town's End's bread basket did you find "nice"?

I particularly liked the assortment of freshly made breads and the fact that it is complimentary with all breakfasts. Yum!

It's been so long since I went to Town's End that I don't recall the particulars, but, like chemchef, it was the variety and freshness that I liked (they are baked in-house).

            2. Definitely Town's End!

              1. TWO (formerly Hawthorne Lane)

                  Those rolls are great.

                2. Press in St. Helena. Olive bread, sourdough, flatbreads and others. It was quite an assortment. We took a bunch home!
