Gotham, Devi, or Tocqueville for prix-fixe lunch?

I'm trying to pick the best prix-fixe lunch deal around the Union Square area - I'm debating between Gotham, Devi and Tocqueville (or any place else that anyone recommends). Any thoughts?

  1. We haven't been to Gotham in ages but did enjoy our prix-fixe lunch there, and I've heard nothing to indicate that the quality of the cuisine has deterioated. We had a number of lunch prix-fixes at Tocqueville in the old location, all of which were excellent. Haven't been since the move. We've been to Devi much more recently, both for lunch and dinner. Always superb!

One thing to think about when trying to make up your mind. Both Gotham and Tocqueville provide very limited choices. I think two for each course. You could check their websites to see what is being offered. Presuming the on-line menu is up-to-date (not always the case), you can decide if the menus appeal to you. Devi, on the other hand, has at least 4 or 5 selections for each course, all of which are taken directly from the dinner menu. So, for example, the signature tandoor-grilled lamb is available at lunch. A smaller portion than at dinner, of course. But not to be missed!
