Weekday breakfast/brunch at Le Cartet/Byblos

My friend are I are interested in having breakfast/brunch at both of these spots -- one on Sunday morning and the other probably on Tuesday morning.

Does anyone know if they still serve their full breakfast/brunch menu on weekdays? Or is it something they only do on weekends?

I understand from reading other posts that both get quite busy on the weekends (esp Le Cartet)... Is there a golden hour at which they just get packed (e.g., some places are fine if you go before 10 am but after that you have to wait forever to get seated)? Also, are they just as busy on weekday mornings?

Thanks in advance!

Byblos serve breakfast on weekdays, so does Cartet but the brunch is only served on weekends. Both Cartet and Byblos are packed on weekends after 9h30ish.

Thanks to both of you, kpzoo and isa1 -- that definitely fills in the blanks and makes our decisions easier (Le Cartet on Sun; Byblos on Tues). Thanks also for the note about timing. 9:30 might be a bit of a stretch depending on how much dancing (and drinking) we do on Sat night but at least we'll know what to expect if we arrive after that.

      Thanks again!

I had a weekday breakfast/brunch at Byblos at around 1:00 pm. The place was about 85% full - no waiting for a table and quick service. It looked like a pretty full breakfast & lunch menu to me, though I haven't been there on the weekend so I couldn't tell you if they have another menu (i.e. breakfast/brunch specials) that they pull out then.

      hth!

Hiya - to follow up, I found this about Byblos:

Breakfast served until 2 p.m. weekdays, and 'til 4 p.m. weekends. Closed Monday.

And an oldish Web site: http://www.geocities.com/cafebyblos/
