Am making a dessert this weekend that calls for fresh marscopone cheese - any leads on where I can find this in NoVA?

Trader Joe's in Old Town carries it

If you can manage it in terms and time and location, one of the vendors at the Courthouse Arlington farmers market on Saturdays usually carries it.

You might also try Arrowine in North Arlington or Cheesetique in Del Ray, Alexandria.

Thanks! I'm planning to go to the Farmer's Market on Saturday, so that's perfect!

I'm just troubleshooting here, but if I went to Courthouse on Sat. and they didn't have it, I then try The Italian Store which is close by.
          Just a thought ;)

In a pinch, go to Whole Foods up the block. They'll have it for sure. The Italian Store over on Spout Run/Lee Hwy, would too I suspsect. As will Balducci's in McLean; that may be a hike for you, though.

Love this board! Thanks so much! Plan A is the farmer's market, Plan B Italian Store and Plan C is Arrowine!

Blue Ridge Dairy is the vendor that has the mascarpone. I can't vouch for it in particular, but the whole milk unsweetened yogurt is easily the best yogurt on the planet. Really.

I can vouch for it. It makes the best desserts. It's much better than the stuff you'll get at Whole Foods. And the yoghurt (whole milk unsweetened, as you say) is the best I've ever had in this country by a long shot.
