What is your favorite? Staying at Gramercy Park Hotel (but willing to travel for good food). Have been to Per Se and Le Bernardin but not much else....big foodie!

veritas is my favorite of the group...absolutely classy but very friendly and comfortable. amazing wine and excellent, top quality food. get the foie gras and any lamb entree.

Veritas is the best wine and food experience in Manhattan. Even if you are not obsessed with wine, you will have an amazing meal. They are extremely accomodating in putting together tasting menus. I absolutely love the sweetbreads, foie gras, short ribs and lamb. If you are into wine, they have the most reasonably priced and extensive wine list around. If you are like me, you will want to study the wine list and menu on-line (veritas-nyc.com; it is regularly updated) to pick out your pairings in advance. If not, the sommeliers will expertly guide you. There are many wines at all price ranges. The food is enough reason to go to Veritas, but the wine service puts it over the top.
