Monterey/Carmel weekend

I'm heading up to Monterey and Carmel this weekend. Will be staying at the Mariott in Monterey but will be traveling to and from Carmel as well. I'm searching for resturants for all three meals of the day. For dinner I'm particularly interested in good seafood and also some nice spots in Carmel. Price is not too much of a concern. Any recs. would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Tell me what is so good about Passionfish? I like the idea. Can you tell me anything about food, ambiance, etc.

Great wine list and very reasonably priced wines. Not super fancy, but generally innovative seafood preparations. I would recommend searching this board for more info.

Another local favorite of mine is Robert's White House.

Melange has also gotten some love on CH, but I haven't tried it.

All three of these places are in Pacific Grove (west of Monterey and north of Carmel).

    2. If money is not an issue, I would make a reservation at the sardine Factory. I have not been up that way for a few years but the last time I was there the food and service was excellent! Have a great weekend.

      1. You will have a lot of great choices. For Carmel lunch go to Rio Grill. They have fabulous artichoke appetizer, the skirt steak very tasty. The wine by the glass are always good choice. Another choice especially if you're wine tasting is Corkskrew Cafe, or Rustica.

Dinner at Marinus in Bernardus lodge is something not to be missed. Mission Ranch is in a beautiful spot haven't been in a while the food was good service location excellent. For your seafood option go to Passionfish!! Roys in Pebble Beach is great they have bagpipers at sunset.
