Breakfast in Bethesda?

Bob W May 16, 2007 08:01 AM

I have to take an elderly neighbor to the Bethesda Naval Hospital early tomorrow so I will have some time to kill. My default choice for breakfast will be Original Pancake House. Are there any other worthy choices?

    Louisiana Express
    La Madeleine

I've found the OPH to be grea-sy ...

Other options are Georgetown Grille, Louisiana Express, and Cafe Express. OPH is probably the best of the bunch.

Ah, Bethesda. Proof that a dense concentration of affluence is no guarantee that you can get a good meal.

I'll check out Georgetown Grille. Thanks guys.

it's a shame, really. aside from Hinata (which is incidentally right across the street from Georgetown Grill on Elm) for delicious and uber cheap sushi, Cornucopia for sandwiches, Chicken on the Run for Peruvian chicken, and Raku for asian fusion there really isnt much in Bethesda worth mentioning. For the size of the area there should be many more options

IMO, there are no good breakfast options in bethesda. OPH is mediocre at best, Tasty Diner is Tasty Diner, and that's really it... Wish I could be more helpful...

Isn't there a little cafe on old georgetown road now?
with a black and yellow sign?
I've obviously never been but it might have breakfast
