There is a place on Geary that was very very good. Sorry can't remember the name of the restaurant. But it is about 15th or 16th avenue, on Jack in the Box side of Geary. Oh it's near a paint store!

Panda Country Kitchen...I went about half a year ago and it was pretty good and then they switched owners and I haven't been back. Although I do see people in there.

I don't know if it's "great" but Z&Y Garden on Jackson St. is a Szechuan and Yunan resturaunt and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it's the only place in Chinatown to get Szechuan food.

I just heard (haven't checked myself) that Z&Y is closed for a couple of weeks for renovations, and no one is answering their phone. Hopefully it's just that and not something more serious.

I think Spices! 1 & 2 should still be good for Sichuan in the city. Do a search, there should be lots of mentions.

Zone 88, 2428 San Bruno (near Silver) is the newest contender for best Sichuan in the City. There have been a flurry of posts in the last 6 months, and a simple search brings them up.
