Dinner in Hollywood?

My husband and I have plans in Hollywood and thought we'd beat the traffic and have an early dinner there beforehand. We're headed for the Linwood Dunn Theater on N. Vine and are wondering if there are any good restaurants in the area?

I'm a big fan of Hungry Cat, and as long as you arrive early (before 6:30pm) you should find a spot. As soon as 7pm hits, it's tough even for me as a solo diner to get in unless I sit at the bar (which I prefer anyway).

Mozza should certainly be able to seat you if you're arriving before 5:30pm.

I've always been partial to Off Vine which is literally across the street from the Pickford Center, in a nice old house at 6263 Leland Way:

If you are going tonight, I don't think Off Vine serves dinner on Tuesdays...

I just called, they're open 5:30 to 10:30. So, maybe too late for you if you want to eat at 5. (But as I say, they're just across the street, well within walking distance ...)

Mozza at Highland & Melrose will definitely be open and since it sounds like you will be eating on the early side, you might actually be able to snag a reservation, or try walking in.
