Thurday Easy Drinks with Food

I am looking for a place where I can gather a group of friends without too much stress or reservations, 6-10 people, drinks and cheap eats downtown. I was thinking lorelai, but wondering if there are any other good places.

I was at Paladar on Saturday and can happily recommend it. Drinks are half priced every day from 4-7:00PM. Well made too.

The food was actually pretty good. I had the quesedillas to start and a Cubano as a main. Both were quite nicely made. This isn't fine cuisine by any stretch of the imagination but the food and drinks are well priced and the atmosphere is pleasant.

Paladar can get creally, really crowded. Go early if you're going. I also found them difficult to seat a group unless the whole group is there. Maybe that's just my experience.

That sounds way to schmance. I was more thinking some place like wogies or gowanus yacht club or lorelei--or even shake shack, but indoors since it is supposed to rain.

Tribeca Tavern may be good (not GRILL!!!). They actually have really great personal pizzas. It's very much a bar that happens to have okay pub food and pizzas. It's on west broadway and...hm... north of Franklin. Beach, maybe? Walker?

Another option way on the other side of town is Common Ground. Ave B and 13th.

I've been wanting to try this place. I love skee ball. Whats it like? Will a thirtysomething feel too old?

Skee ball? The only skee ball I know of is at Ace bar on 5th btw A and B. If TT has it, then it's new as of maybe last fall. I don't think I've been in there since then.

                Tribeca Tavern, no... I don't think a 30something wouldn't feel old there.

I like Lorelei, by the way. That's also a good choice. But it's more about the beer than the food there.

Crocodile Lounge does have skee ball and it is tons of fun. I have been there a couple times with my thirty something friends and always had a great time. FYI it is cheaper than Ace Bars as well which is nice.

Thanks roze. Yeah I meant CL not TT. But it is also good to know about TT and Lorelei. I am always on the lookout for new bars to hang out in. And anything that may have a Gilmore Girl referance, albeit inadvertant, is great with me!.
