  1. I've heard Windsor Arms served pretty good scone with their high tea service in the afternoon. Otherwise Princes of Wales in Niagara on the Lake served really good scone too.

Yes, lovely scones if I recall. Also the 4Seasons have very nice scones, but i don't enjoy their tea as much as the WA.

    2. Mildred Pierce -makes great scones.

      1. If you want some for home, I love the Brick versions (bakery in the Distillery) with clotted cream and jam. For fruit scones, I'm addicted to the Altitude bakery cranberry scones. Altitude also makes savoury versions like ham and chives,

I second the Brick Street Bakery scones. Also really like the scones at one of the bakeries in the St Lawrence Market, not sure of the name but they are along the west wall upstairs across from that place with great roast beef sandwiches.
If you are in Ottawa you have got to try the scones at Thyme and Again on Wellington.

cheesymama i disagree. the best scones in ottawa are at the scone witch! thyme and again are fine, but for exceptional scones, it is definitely the scone witch. it is her specialty and she always has a number of savoury, sweet and fruit scones. the are usually fresh from the oven too.

Thanks, I'll give them a try the next time I'm in Ottawa!

Thanks for all your suggestions.....heard great things about the Brick Bakery. I will eventually try all the suggestions and post my review.

          3. I love the scones at Dufflet. Packed with calories!

I love the dufflet scones too, especially the raspberry white chocolate.
I also had some really good ones from sobeys surprisingly, cranberry white chocolate. much softer than dufflets. I really need to venture out and try some good bakery scones.

            2. Wagamama (corner of King/Tecumseth) is my favourite..small and full of cheesey goodness...yum. Get 'em in the morning as they usually sell out.

Love the tiny cookies at wagamama but personally find the scones to be too hard especially when compared to Dufflet.
