In case DH isn't in a Jamaican mood, any others near BBG open for lunch, weekdays?

Deacon Blue on Prospect and Grand is pretty good. I usually get takeout from there, the atmosphere isn't anything to write home about but the food has been consistently tasty in my experience.

Also Chavella's is a FANTASTIC mexican place on Classon btw Park and Prospect, and they have lunch specials (and amazing tamales).
And there's always Tom's. I've never done a weekday lunch there. Maybe its less horribly crowded?

The Islands is probably your best bet. It's a small Jamaican place, with a pleasant, small upstairs dining area. It's right on Washington, just off Eastern Parkway. Couldn't get closer.

Or, if it is a nice day and you don't mind the entry fee (or are a member) the food area in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden has some very good sandwiches and other foods in a very nice outdoor setting.
