Best, inexpensive restaurant/bar no one knows about?

Does anyone know of any good, inexpensive restaurant/bar that few people go to, maybe because it's new, or a tiny bit out-of-the way? By inexpensive, I mean entrees around $15, drink specials on off-peak hours, etc.

Thanks!
Sheryl

I like Kin Khao on Spring St. For some reason it's never crowded. Food is great.

Two places that I recommend as wonderful wine bars with delicious food in your price range are: Epistrophy on Mott Street and Xicala Wine + Tapas Bar. They have never been too busy when I've been there, but worth the trip everytime!

I don't know if they have drink specials but I think you'll find everything else you've asked for at Barbossa on Elizabeth Street.

Can't say it's unknown, but El Quijote on 23rd is a family favorite with some entrees in that range, reliable food and sangria and gigantic portions, plus that Sid and Nancy vibe from the Chelsea, where it's located.
