Quahogs and Lobster Meat near New Bedford

In late June my SO's Parents will be coming to Mattapoisett to meet my family. We're going to have a little get together. On the menu will be Stuffed Quahogs Lobster Rolls Linguica and Corn. We are expecting up to 30 people.

When my father was alive, he used to get quohogs and little necks from a wholesaler located just off Rt 6 heading to Marion. That place no longer exists. Are their any Wholesalers for Clams and Lobster Meat around, I'm hoping not to have to cook enough lobsters for that many rolls. We do want to get some sightseeing in.

For the lobster and little necks try calling Dale at Westport Lobster on Main Road in Adamsville. For really good linguica try Chaves market in Fall River...there are linguica places in New Bedford, closer for you, but i don't remember the names

Kyler's Catch in New Bedford (http://www.kylerseafood.com/Welcome_K...) is the best, IMHO, fish monger around. They have a huge wholesale operation and a retail market attached to their large processing plant. Even though you are buying for 30 people, i doubt you'd qualify for wholesale status, however. Their freshness and pricing is the best around though. Good luck.
