Big Lebowski Party

Aside from White Russians, what else should (could) be served at a Big Lebowksi themed party? All creative answers welcome.

  1. What a great idea for a party!-- depending on where you're located, could you get a bunch of In n Out burgers, or make something resembling them? I hope you've got a rug that brings the room together ;)

    1. re: anna banana

      cups of Ralph's coffee
      pigs in blankets
      lingonberry pancakes
      bottles of beer

    2. We've hosted Lebowski parties... obviously the White Russians are a must; Sasparilla root beer, any bar munchies and bowling-alley food... I make cut out cookies, which are frosted with sayings like "Abide", "Nihlist", "Achiever", etc... wear bathrobes, or have everyone dress as their favorite character.

      Have fun!!

maybe some pinkie-toe shaped hot dogs, cookies, or some other bite-sized delights.

      2. Marijuana of course!
Just kidding (ahem) but what a great idea for a party!!
Ever hear of the Lebowski Fest? You might get some ideas from their site:

        1. If it's not too gross....take a basic Mexican Wedding Cake type of cookie recipe, shape the cookies into little toes instead of balls, and paint a red toenail on each?

              1. I seem to recall a conversation when the Dude, Donny, and Walter were talking about driving out to the "Valley" and stopping at an In-N-Out ... and then there's a later scene where they're driving down the road and appear to be eating In-N-Out burgers and drinking from the In-N-Out cups.

                  1. you could always serve rabbit....you know, like bunny.... i know, it's a stretch.

                      1. Unless you're stocked up on Creamora, there is no "aside from White Russians"!

                        1. Great ideas thus far... I would def go bowling alley finger foods, but check this "fest" out http://www.lebowskifest.com/news.asp

Of course, you could also watch the movie and play the drinking game! http://www.ringthis.com/tv_drinking_g...

Either require bowling shirts, or make cheap ones for your guests... or raid a thrift store :-)
