Jerk Chicken, Coley's vs. Cha Cha Cha

Had the Jamaican Jerk Chicken @ both places. At Coley's in No Ho months ago, and just recently @ ChaChaCha in Silverlake. No comparison! CCC being a "Carribean" restaurant, not necesarily Jamaican makes the best Jerk Chicken I've had in The L.A. Area.

It's a true, pathetic shame that Coley's...Being a Jamaican restaurant in plain and simple English...sucks. I'm not Jamaican nor have I ever been to Jamaica to be able to compare it to Authentic Jamaican Food, but in all honesty comparing Cha Cha Cha to Coleys for Jerk...Coley's just plain sucks across the board. Food, service, value portions, everything.

Been back once in March, in all fairness to give them a chance to "redeem themselves". Not a chance...no improvements in any aspect.

I welcome any comments, pros/cons on either establishment, and/or recommendations for good Jamaican food in L.A.-O.C. area. I would strongly recommend Cha Cha Cha in Silverlake if you like great Jerk, good portions, great service at a reasonable price.

I love Jerk Chicken and make my own on special occasions at home. The best jerk I ever had in LA was at the now defunct Authentic Cafe on Beverly blvd? Anybody ever had it or remember it? 1/2 chicken served with Fried Plantains. I wish I had some now...

I've been to CCC once, and thought it was ok, but not worth going back for.

Best jerk chicken I've had in LA: Port Royal Cafe in Santa Monica.

Cha cha blah!

I live in Silver Lake. I love the atmosphere at Cha cha cha. But the food is bad!

The jerk chicken at chach is a overcooked and dry -- it's just a baked chicken breast with a mole sauce poured over it.

The Coley's in NoHo is a sad depressing place. The one in Inglewood looks like a chain restaurant.

I strongly disagree! Mine @ CCC was excelent. Large grilled checken breast with tasty Jerk Sauce all over it, not Mole. Have you ever even had Jerk Chicken or know what it is H.B.? Now I'll strong agree with you about Coley's. The food is bad & the place is sad. I miss when it was Villa Sorrento's with the original owners years ago.

I've had jerk chicken many times in Jamaica and it shares no similarities with Cha Cha Blah.

If they are still around (?) I had some great jerk chicken at Natraliart Jamaican Restaurant a couple of years ago.
