Whoopie Pie

I had a really moist and perfect Whoopie Pie at Auntie Em’s Kitchen several weeks ago with there great coffee before having a great breakfast there. I went back last week for a steak salad dinner and what? No Whoopie Pies? They only make them on a baker's whim or by special order with a 48 hr advance notice. Well, I will order some at Auntie Em’s but an urge for whoopie cannot really wait 48 hours, and so, I would like to know if there are any good Whoopie Pies made daily out there? Also, I just read on the Boston Board that a peanut butter Whoopie Pie can be found in Mass. Any in L.A.?

  1. I'd asked about the whoopie pies the last time I was at Auntie Em's as well, ,but it sounded as if the woman at the counter wasn't such a fan. I opted for the cupcakes instead...

In any case, I've seen them consistently at Susiecakes. Clementine makes something akin to whoopie pies-- only instead of chocolate cookies/cakes, they're oatmeal.

I will go to Susiecakes then. As for those at Auntie Em's. I really do not eat cake. I like pie more. But Auntie Em's Whoopie Pie was more moist than any cup-cake I ever had there and the flavor of the chocolate cake was beyond Mother-Lode. It was special.
      My Thanks,

    2. these might be similar to whoopie pies, at least what i have heard of them. go to The Farm of Beverly Hills. get the "Farmeo" cookie. the BEST thing i have ever eaten. two super super soft chocolate cookies (very dark as well) with yum yummy buttercream frosting in the middle as the "white stuff" TO.DIE.FOR. :)

I love Farmeo! In fact, we recently moved to New York, and I fear we may have said good bye forever to the delicious cookie. Does anybody know anyplace in NYC that sells cookies like this?

They're good! Even the pink whoopie pies (non chocolate) are delicious!
