Where are the best soft shell crabs?

Siam Lotus in Norwood serves a tempura soft shell crab with mango salsa and baby greens. The mango salsa plays against the rich crab flavor very well. They are a bargain as soft shell crabs go. If I remember correctly, last year they were $18 for two large crabs. I have not been there in a while so I'm not sure if they are on the menu yet, but have been there for the last 3-4 years during soft shell crab season.

Had a fabulous soft shell crab appetizer at Pava in Newton Center Friday night. light and crispy, served on polenta with walnuts and capers. Also, Bernard's in the Chestnut Hill Mall makes wonderful soft shell crabs. Usually at this time of the year people are out the door waiting to order them

I had a soft-shell crab appetizer @ Neptune on Tuesday night that was phenomenal. It was lightly fried and served over jam and topped with a curry mayo. The combination of flavors worked perfectly. It's only a special on Tuesday nights. They ran out pretty quickly, so if you see it on the specials board, ask the server to save you one(or 2). You won't be disappointed.
