It's just equal parts coffee, bourbon, and vanilla ice cream. Let the coffee melt the ice cream as you're stirring together then toss it in the freezer overnight. The bourbon will keep it from re-freezing but it will take on a nice sort of milkshake consistency. As with the other posters drink this one should be consumed carefully. To OP: ask your wife if they would prefer something fruity or creamy. I think blended drinks usually fall into one or the other category. Fruity would be daiquiris, margaritas, or any assortment of frozen fruit with choice of alcohol (vodka, usually). Creamy would involve ice cream along with coffee and/or chocolate.
