Casual Sunday Supper in Asheville

We will be in Asheville on Sunday evening, just traveling through, and we're looking for a place to get a casual dinner.

Sundays are a tough call in Asheville. However, if you have never been to the area, its nice to park downtown and walk around, you will find a few places open.

sunday is mother's day....in the biz known as the busiest restaurant day in the year. Typically Brunch is busier than dinner, but I would call around before heading out.

Actually, we're cooking Mother's Day dinner here at home, and we'll be in Asheville Sunday the 20th. Just looking for something casual that's open on a Sunday, as we'll be driving in from Charleston and probably not arriving in Asheville until about 7:00 pm.

Unfortunately, the best Sunday restaurant experience in Asheville--the brunch at Limones--will be over by then, and the other choices are a bit iffy.

If you don't mind REALLY casual, Tomato Cucina Latina on Patton Ave. serves good, cheap Salvadoran food.

            Anybody else got any ideas?

I'm pretty sure Savoy is open. You may also want to check Left Bank, I've always had good experiences there but recently friends went and said it was abysmal. Pomodoro's for casual Greek/Italian.
