Oliver and Bonicini's

We three ladies are planning a dinner out at Olive and Bonicini's at the Bayview Village Mall. Anyone have any thoughts on the food quality, ambience, and price?

  1. Food is generally decent, although nothing too spectacular to write home about. Ambience is lively and loud, one big large open room. I remember going to a few dinner presentations in the back room and we almost couldn't hear the speaker from all the outside room noise. Price is a bit on the higher end, but on par with the other restaurants that are owned and operated by this group. If your girlfriends are looking for a night out with a more upbeat & upscale meal, then this might be the place for you. Certainly better than the nearby Sierra Grill...

    1. Food there is mediocre at best but it's also not expensive, so you kind of get what you pay for. This is a place where you can order pizza and regular burgers and fries, so, it's not at all upscale nor is it on par with other Oliver Bonacini's restaurant as Royaljelly says. If you're looking to try one of Oliver Bonacini's more upscale restaurants try Canoe or Auberge du Pommier.

      1. I would go fair...ambiance okay...service nothing special...price way too expensive...Auberge is much better...Miranda

Went there a month ago with 3 friends. Their fish and chips was okay but not great. Burger is quite nice. The special of the night was lamb shank and fettuccine and the pasta was way too salty. Their mushroom soup is good though. Bread is warm and fresh. But you could probably enjoy better food with a little bit more money at its sister restaurants.
