Sandwiches made w/ fresh mozzarella

Olivia May 11, 2007 11:40 AM

Anyone know a place that makes their own mozzarella, that will also make a sandwich with that mozzarella?

It doesn't sound like Joe's does it, and it sounds like you can't always get one at Di Palo's... does Aleva make their mozz in-house?

Anywhere south of Central Park is fine.

Thanks!

I'm not sure if they make it in-house but Lamazou's has amazing sandwiches with fresh mozzarella. The quality is terrific. My fave combination is proscuitto, mozzarella and pesto on ciabatta. Oh I love that place.

YES. I am addicted to their breads and cheeses.

I am not sure if they make their own cheese but you might check Todaro Bros on Second avenue...they have pretty good sandwiches with Italian ingredients.
