Go to Pier77 in Cape Porpoise. Right on water. Great food and service! Arundel Wharf for ambience this time of year.

The White Barn Inn is certainly the best. If you are looking for something reasonable try Lord's in Wells......great inexpensive food including very reasonble lobster prices. The service is also friendly and efficient. I think the same staff comes back for year after year. I don't think you can go wrong with their food. Their desserts are also outstanding. This is not an "upscale" restaurant but I think it's great.

edgewater, I agree. For my money, Lord's has the best lobster stew anywhere--reasonable, savory, and with hunks of tail meat. My family also swears by their seafood chowder. I believe they're owned by the same family that owns The Steakhouse--also a great place. But yes, for Lord's, the view, the prices and the food are all great.

Tried Lords for the first time....Very pleased for what it was. One of the few places around that had larger size lobsters available and at a relatively reasonable price.
Also went to the Thai restaurant in town and will definitely return after I've had my fill of lobster and steamers.

I never go to Kennebunkport without eating at Hurricane for dinner... With about five or six dinners to go on, I've never been dissapointed.. www.hurricanerestaurant.com

After many years and trips to the Kennebunk/Kennebunkport area we finally dined at Hurricane for dinner just a couple of weeks ago and I heartily agree. The food was excellent, service was good (it can get crowded and I think things might get slow as the evening progresses). Though we dine early by the world's standards, I think I would choose to sit in the taverns area next time, maybe sacrifice the view of the water but that is small potatos compared to the high quality of the place as a whole.
