Baratza Solis Virtuoso Coffee Grinder
We just got this a few days ago in my seemingly never ending search for a coffee grinder that doesn't produce so much static that one half of our kitchen counter is constantly covered in coffee grounds that have flown out.
Well, we're impressed. The grinder is solid and heavy, it has a heavy duty power cord on it and is reportedly covered in some sort of anti-static coating or some such thing. However they did it, it works. The coffee stays entirely contained in the recepticle.
I can't speak to longevity yet, obviously but presuming it holds up as well as it appears it will from the construction, we've got a grinder that finally solves the static problem. It cost us $200 at wholelattelove.com

I have it's predecessor the Solis Maestro Plus. I use it for everything except espresso. Does a fine job with no static, I'm in Fla so it humid, and is as quite as any I've ever heard.

Have you had it long? Has it held up well?

About 5 years and it's used daily. Looks like new. I clean it about once a week. Part of my coffee mantra is to keep it clean.
