Pink nibbles
I hate it when I do this. So I get this bright idea to invite a bunch of women over for pink drinks and munchies on Mothers Day afternoon. The drinks, I've got covered. Cosmos etc. But then I got thinking about the food part and I 'm a bit stumped. Probably will do something with smoked salmon, maybe something with shrimp. Any other pink ideas out there?
Oh chocolate is also permitted.

puree goat cheese or cream cheese with red radish and use on toast points.
cold salad of candy cane beets
cupcakes with pink frosting and candied rose petals as garnish
chocolate cheesecake with whipped cream into which you puree raspberries

Martha Stewert had a recipe online for grapefruit sandwich cookies. How about pink grapefruit sandwich cookies. Also maybe little raspberry meringue cookies, fruit sorbet with chocolate sauce.
Savory is harder. Smoked salmon tarts, shrimp salad on crostini...

I used the following recipe for mini blueberry cheesecakes and subbed strawberries with great success. So cute and indulgent, but it is not too bad because they are small. I also used fat free cream cheese.
